So, one of the fun annual events that we have here on campus is called TWIRP (the woman is required to pay). The school goes through this whole role reversal thing for one week where girls ask out guys for a change. Not only does the girl have to ask the guy out but she also has to pay for the various events that are going on throughout the week. I was lucky enough to go on a number of different TWIRP events. As a graduating senior, I'm pretty psyched that I got to experience this whole week especially since I missed out on it the past two years. I had this misconception that TWIRP was reserved for exclusive couples only so I never really took it seriously. Fortunately, I was wrong and actually found myself going this year with some good friends. Overall, it was so much fun. I ended up going to a drive-in movie and eating junk food (Jenny and Kayla, I actually felt really sick during the second movie), establishing dominance in mini-golf, eating pb&j sandwiches on a baseball field, and staring death in the face at Six Flags.
Bbut...
To be honest, I was really uncomfortable knowing that I couldn't pay for anything... ever. My wallet was totally useless and for someone like me who likes to pay for friends, that's hard to accept. But on the other hand, it was nice knowing that all I had to do was show up and basically look good.
Wednesday Night: Create a Date... and some pb&j sandwiches.
