I'm done on so many levels (By: Andy Mok)

I can't really put into words what I'm feeling right now. If you think about it, graduating is like one of the most bitter/sweet moments in life. On one hand, you're about to start a whole new stage in life with all sorts of unexpected expectations (so deep). On the other hand, your heart literally aches at the thought of saying bye to one of the most joyous chapters in life.

I have these fantasies sometimes where I somehow come up with a way to take all of my memories here at CBU and transfer them onto a Blu-ray disc (because DVDs are so not in anymore) with some cheesy music playing in the background, and just watch the entire thing whenever I please. You see, I always boasted a good memory, but it's not nearly good enough to contain all the things that have happened here at CBU. This is a good place to be. Yeah, of course we can all name a number of things that we would change but we're still here. Can't be that bad then, right? Anyone who tells you differently is outside of their mind. In AndyLand, we ignore those people.

But yes, I am officially a CBU graduate. I even rock the CBU ALUMNI shirt these days. I want the whole world to know that I am no longer a student but a real-world adult... a real-world adult that has to pay off his loans soon...

I board a plane tomorrow back to NY. When am I coming back? Honestly, I’m not sure. If you’re lucky, I’ll be in the Yeager Center greeting everyone as they come back for the spring semester. Unfortunately, I have to be realistic and admit that there’s a good chance I may not be back for a month or so. It’s really not as bad as it sounds. I’ve been craving family memories for the past three years and I hope to catch up when I move back in with my parents.

Enough with the fluff.

Thank you so much for reading my blogs and for all your wonderful compliments. It was a pleasure to represent one of the thousands of personalities of CBU. I hope I made you guys smile at least for a second or two. That's the important thing.

Everyone, please have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Be thankful for your presents even if it's the last thing you ever wanted... (one word, eBay)...

See you soon!

Andy Mok
