One of the things that I find most interesting about the overall college experience is the way in which you can often find yourself in the busiest week of your life. I vented a little in my last post about how busy I was. You know what the funny thing is though? I'm SO not busy this week. That happens here in college. You'll have one week where you contemplate crawling into a corner and crying because you have so much to do (I don't do that by the way, EVER.) and another week where your only responsibility is to sleep. This week was one of those sleep weeks. It was nice.
I also came to the realization today that midterms are coming up, they’re right around the corner. You know what that means? We're basically halfway through the academic curriculum in our classes. Remember when you were little and people used to talk about time flying by? It's scary to know how much I understand what they meant now. When I was a freshman, the upper-classmen used to tell me that after the first year, the remaining years in college fly by. Gosh darnit they were right. So if by any chance you're reading this and are currently a freshman, listen to me because I know what I'm talking about... nine percent of the time.
Is anyone else excited for the glorious grass we're going to have out by the courtyard? For those of you who don't know what I'm talking about, our school is going through some changes by the main portion of our campus. I'm no gardener so I don't know much about the process of replacing old grass with new grass but I do know what manure smells like. The way I look at it is the stronger the smell, the greener the grass. In addition, the greener the grass, the happier Andy is and that's what really matters. Just kidding. Well not really.
